Francesca's Latest Ultrasounds

Sorry if I don't post very often but aside from being extremely tired I also have to take care of a VERY ACTIVE 2 year old... Felipe is growing up really quickly and now he climbs up on everything so I have to constantly be watching him.

This morning I went to get my 36 week ultrasound and Francesca is growing perfectly. She is currently weighing about 6lbs 8oz so she will probably be just like Felipe when he was born.

The first three photos are the most recent ones and the technician was kind enough to do some 3D images of her face.

I will hopefully post more information before I go into labor... If not I guess the next post will be about Francesca's birth.

Felipe's First Pony Ride

Earlier this morning we took Felipe on his first pony ride. Adrian had found out that next to his job on the weekends they have pony rides. You can have your kid ride for as long as they want for only $5.

Since it was nice and sunny this morning we decided to take him. He loved it and was on the pony for about 30 minutes. We had to cut it short because I couldn't take the walking any more.

In pregnancy news....

I am currently 32 weeks and GROWING!!!

Everything is going great and little Francesca is kicking up a storm. I think she is going to be more active than her brother.

I will post photos of the pony ride and updated belly shots tomorrow.

Latest Ultrasound

Yesterday I went to get a second ultrasound because at the last one they couldn't get the measurements of the spine.

Everything is going well but there was a little surprise there are two...

The VERDICT is in for Baby # 2

IT'S A GIRL!!!

I just got back from getting my 18 week ultrasound. It is definitely a girl and everything is great.

On his way!

Hi everybody, Titi Amanda here. Lilli left me keys to the place so that I could let you all know when our much-awaited dear Felipe would be arriving. Adrian called us about 45 minutes ago that they are at the hospital. Lilli is about 3 centimeters dilated and contractions are approximately 7 minutes apart. I estimate this kiddo will be born de madrugada, so I'll update in the morning. I've already put my camera in my purse in case I can go by the hospital before heading off to work.
YAY, he's almost here!!

Almost 40 weeks....

Just got back from my doctor appointment and everything is going GREAT!!! The baby's heartbeat is very strong and I am gaining just the right amount of weight... I have gained only a total of 24 lbs.

I have GOOD NEWS.... I already 2 to 3 cm dilated so I guess any day now Felipe Ignacio could make his grand arrival.

I will post more updates as they become available.... Also once the baby is born I will be creating a website for Felipe so I can constantly upload pictures for your viewing pleasure. I will be emailing the link to the site once it is up and running.

Still Waiting for Felipe Ignacio

Just got back from my doctor appointment... Everything is going OK. The baby has apparently dropped a bit but there is still no sign that he will be making his grand arrival any time soon.

They did a sonogram and they estimate his current weight to be 6lbs 13oz. The tech said that Felipe can be born anywhere between 1lb more or less than his current estimated weight.

I am hoping for a 7lb baby... I rather he grow once he is on the outside.

Sorry there are no pictures but he is too big to get a good ultrasound photo and I just haven't taken any of myself lately...

3 more weeks to go....

I just got back from the doctor's office and she told me that everything seems to be right on schedule. As of right now my due date still stands so I am REALLY SORRY to those that guessed I would be having the baby this week....

I will keep you posted on any changes as they occur.

The Finish Line is getting closer

I had a doctor's appointment today and that is what the DR told me... I am currently 35 weeks so that means that in about 5 - 6 weeks I should have my little bundle of joy in my arms.

Everything is going well and from now on I have an appointment EVERY week. I guess they do this to keep a closer track on the progress.

Yesterday I sent out an email stating that I am doing a baby pool... The winner will receive a prize. If you would like to participate and haven't sent me your guess yet, just post a comment or send me an email so that you can be included.

Latest OB Appt

I just got to the office after spending all morning in doctor's offices...

I just got my 33 week checkup and the outcome was not satisfactory for the doctor because I have lost 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks and my belly hasn't grown. She referred me to get a ultrasound just to make sure that I wasn't losing amniotic fluid and that the baby was OK.

I waited for about 2 hours at the Kendall Regional Office for the ultrasound but when it was done everything was OK... Maybe my weight loss was due to the fact that I was sick a few weeks ago and also I did alot of walking on Sunday during my baby shower.

The ultrasound tech took all the necessary measurements and the report stated that Felipe Ignacio is within the 59 percentile of growth, he is larger than he should be, which is good. He is currently at 5lbs 2ozs and his heartbeat was 132bpm.

DIABETES FREEEEEE

I just got back from getting my 3-hour glucose test done and the results were satisfactory... I do not have gestational diabetes.

One of the results was high but the other 3 were within normal range so the doctor gave me the A-OK!!!

I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so I will give you another update that day...

Glucose Test Results...

I just got back from the doctor's office and everything is going great with the baby. My Fundal measurement is 28" which is perfect because I am 29 weeks. The measurements should be give or take 2 inches from the amount of weeks you are pregnant.

I have gained a total of 17 lbs up-to-date but the bad news is that my glucose test results were UNSATISFACTORY!!! They referred me to a specialist because since diabetes runs in my family they want to rule that out before they send me to do the 3 hour glucose test. I have my fingers crossed that it was just something I ate yesterday.

Everything is going great

I had my doctor appointment today and everything is going great. This little boy is moving around like if he is in an olympic-size pool. The doctor said the heartbeat sounded great.

Next month I have my glucose test.... I hate that test. I can't eat breakfast and then at the dr's office they give you a REALLY SWEET liquid. But I guess if it is for the good of the baby and my health I will do anything.

I have gained 3 pounds since last month so for those that are keeping a tally I have gained a total of 12 pounds. YAY for me!!! I am hoping that I won't gain much weight by the end of this pregnancy.

22 weeks and 3 days...

I just got back from my ultrasound and it is definitely a BOY!!!

Everything is going great. His heartbeat was 162bpm and he was sleeping. I guess he takes after his lazy mother.

We had to shake him around because the tech needed to measure his heart and he was sleeping butt up with his head resting on my bladder. All the measurements were right on schedule and he is currently weighing 1lb 1oz.

21 Weeks and counting...

Today I went to the doctor and I have gained 4 pounds since my last visit. I wasn't due to go to the doctor until Monday but yesterday I had a bit of a scare because I saw some blood in my urine. When I called them they said it wasn't anything to worry about but I still went in today to get some test done. Everything was OK and the baby was moving around a lot. That was a HUGE relief.

I have an ultrasound next Wednesday to measure the baby's heart and they will probably also check the placenta to make sure everything is OK in that end.

I FELT IT!!!

I have finally felt the little man kick.

I was just sitting here at work when all of a sudden I felt like a gas bubble in my stomach. I have been told that is what it feels like. I guess for now I will say that I felt him kick.

It is so exciting!!!

Thinking of a name....

Now that we know that

we have to start thinking of name....

We have gone through some but can't decide on a good name that is both easy to pronounce in English and Spanish. We would really like to stick to a Hispanic name but haven't settled on that yet.

I will keep everyone posted on the progress of our baby name selection.

The Verdict is in...

Well the sonogram today confirmed what Adrian had been wanting to hear for a while... We will be having a baby boy in July.

After not being able to see the sex of the baby on Monday's ultrasound I decided that today I was going to do everything within my reach to assure that I would not leave the hospital without knowing. Ever since the morning I was listening to lively latin music and for lunch I drank a Pepsi and had half a bag of peanut M&Ms. No... that was not my lunch... I had a delicious pork chop and rice.

As I was driving to the hospital I was poking at my belly to make sure the baby would not go to sleep right before the sonogram. Luckily everything went well. The first image that we got was our baby boy showing his third leg.

He was very active so it was difficult for the tech to take all the necessary measurements. He also got the hiccups towards the end of the exam. I think the culprit of those hiccups was the soda that I drank.

It was so nice to see the baby moving around. At one point during the sonogram he was covering his face with his hands. The tech took all the measurements except the heart because like I said the baby was moving around so much that he couldn't get a clear image of the heart. I have another appointment on the 28th but from what he saw today the baby is growing right on schedule.

18 week Check-Up

Well... Unfortunately the baby was not cooperating today so I could not find out the sex of this little peanut. It decided it wanted to curl up into a ball... eventhough the tech poked and probed it didn't budge.

I did get my AFP blood test done so we will await the results of that... The heartbeat sounded great and I haven't gained any weight since last month... I guess eating healthier is helping with my weight.

I have a full sonogram at the end of this week so lets hope the baby cooperates at that appointment.

I've entered my Second Trimester

I just got back from the doctor. Everything is going good. They did an ultrasound to hear the baby's heartbeat because the doctor could not get a reading with the handheld doppler. I am happy to say the .... It is beating strongly.

I don't have any pictures today but next month when I go to my appointment I will hopefully have more than a picture... I will be far enough along that I might be able to find out the sex of the baby.
