Today I attended a baby shower for a high school friend of mine. Suzy and her husband are expecting a baby girl in January.It is awesome to know that our kids would grow up together just like we did.

Today was a very sad day
Ten years ago I met a great man. This man was Adrian's grandfather. When we got married he offered us his home so we could save money. Ever since the day I met him I thought of him as a grandfather.
He was always really nice to me and it saddens me to know that he will never be by our side ever again.
Today we lost a great man and unfortunately my children will never get to hear his stories about Cuba and Puerto Rico.
I will make sure that his memory is kept alive in my children's mind and heart.
Fito you will be missed.

Deep Fried Turkey
Last night my husband's Thanksgiving dream came true... He was able to make a deep fried turkey. At first I was skeptical because I thought it would be dry but on the contrary it was very moist and tasty.We had dinner at my mom's house and Adrian fried the turkey in their backyard.
It was Francesca's 1st Thanksgiving but it was very uneventful considering Felipe had been sick the week before and my grandmother was battling the flu.

I am dealing with a sick boy. He woke up from his nap burning up and throwing up everything he has eaten today.

I am trying to recover from a sleepless night. Felipe's fever peaked at 103.6 last night. Luckily it is gone now but he will be going to the doctor today.

I am still dealing with a feverish boy. It keeps on going up and down. Right when I think he is better his fever spikes. :-( I hope he is doing better tomorrow morning.

Adrian and I apparently caught whatever Felipe had and now we are dealing with body aches. Thankfully he is better.

I am grateful that Felipe hasn't had a fever in the past 8 hours. Let's hope it is all gone. Now all we need to deal with is the nasty cough.

I am getting really upset at the roller coaster of fevers. Felipe spent the whole day fine and then after his late afternoon nap woke up with a fever. How long will these ups and downs last??? Of course it is worse to deal with when I am also sick as a dog. Can't breathe and I am about to cough up a lung.

I am thankful to finally know what is wrong with my baby... My poor boy has an ear infection and the flu. Both are easily resolved with medicine so in about 3 days my baby should start to get better.
Now I need keep Francesca healthy. Poor girl has been ignored for the past few days. I only carry her when it is feeding time.

First Day back at Work
After 3 1/2 months of Maternity leave I returned to work today. I thought I would go crazy waiting for the time to go by but it actually flewn by really quickly. Now I am going to play with my kids 'til they get tired of me.

Trip to the zoo
Today we went to the zoo after having the tickets for almost 6 months...
We had purchased tickets online sometime in May but by the time we got to the zoo that day it was raining so they told us we could use them any other day. Today was such a beautiful and cool day that we decide to take advantage and go walk around.
It was Felipe's second trip and Francesca's first but this time around Felipe really enjoyed pointing at all the animals and saying their names.

The Modern Flintstones
Last night was Francesca's 1st Halloween...We weren't sure what to dress up the chldren as this year but since my son is so mischevious we decided that he would be Bamm Bamm and from there stemmed the idea of all of us being the Flinstones.
My mom made all our costumes and we went Trick-O-Treating by our friend Mery's house.
It was a nice night and we got lots of candy.
