The adventures begin

On Wednesday, while I was driving home from work, Adrian called me to tell me that our son had discovered where we kept all our newspaper.... I immediately thought that could not be a good thing and here is a picture so you can judge for yourself.

He took his First "assisted" Steps

Today while waiting to have lunch at my mother-in-laws house, Rhea, my brother-in-law's girlfriend, was holding Felipe by the hands and Adrian called his name. Felipe immediately looked over to Adrian and took 2 steps toward him...

He thinks he is free to roam the house

Today, before going to my mother-in-laws house for lunch, I was preping Felipe's bag so I put him with some toys in the sunken living room so that I could go get something from his room. Adrian had gone to get something from our room and we crossed in the hallway. When I was leaving Felipe's room I see that he is crawling in the hallway so I immediately thought that Adrian had take him out of the living room but then Adrian tells me that he thought I had left him in front of the fish tank. At this moment we came to realize that our little boy can no longer be left alone in the sunken because he will just climb right out and start to crawl around the house.

He is a video I took of him after the fact...

My son is FAMOUS

A few weeks back my friend Claudia sent me a text message that her son was in the newspaper. At first, I thought that maybe she had entered him in some contest because he is a very cute boy. Later I came to know that she was a member of MomsMiami.com; a website for Miami moms to connect. At this website they have photo albums called "Brag Books" where you can upload pictures of your kids. Well.... I also became a member and submitted a few photos of Felipe and guess what.....

Felipe came out in the newspaper today.....

You can go and check out his album.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I hope that all the mothers who read my blog had a great day surrounded by your loved one.

My first mother's day was great. We all headed to Crandon Park to spend the day there. Jayme (my boss) had planned a day at the beach for his family and the invitation was extended to friends and their relatives. At first I thought of just going for a few hours but we ended up being at the beach for about 5 hours.

Today was also Felipe's first trip to the beach. We had taken him to the beach when he was only 2 months old but he had never been in the ocean. Just as I imagined, he loved being in the water. He was kicking and laughing eventhough he was exhausted. We were in the water for about 45 minutes when Felipe started to doze-off on my shoulder. This was my signal that I should take him back to the picnic area so that he could sleep comfortably in his stroller. I barely made it to the showers without him falling asleep. I had my mom and Osmart singing to him so that he wouldn't fall asleep and I could wash off all the salt water before he took his afternoon nap.

Before we got out of the water my mom was making him "swim". He was loving the water and when my mom held him in the swimming position, he would kick his little feet. He is a video so you can enjoy it as much as we were.

I really enjoyed my day and look forward to spending many more like these with Felipe.

Happy Birthday Fito

Felipe would like to wish his Great-Grandfather a HAPPY 91st BIRTHDAY!!!
Today we had lunch at home with Fito and I also baked him a delicious Chocolate cake.
I hope that we can share many other special occassions with such a special man. He truly is a kind-hearted man that adores Felipe.
