Today is a SAD day

Francisco Guillen
03/09/20 - 03/25/08

Approximately 4 1/2 years ago my grandmother found happiness with a man who had been a good friend for many years. Early this morning she lost that happiness when this special man passed away.

Please keep my grandmother in your prayers as this will be a tough moment to endure.

Rest in Peace Guillen... You will be missed by many.

HAPPY EASTER

Today Felipe celebrated his first Easter. He was very busy "hopping" from one house to another.

We had brunch at my mother-in-laws house. We were joined by Adrian's cousin, Sebastian, and Adrian's grandfather. I made sure that I took a picture of Felipe with everyone.

After brunch we went to Amanda's house for the Annual Dufau Easter Egg Hunt and also to celebrate Eric's birthday. Since Felipe couldn't hunt for the hidden eggs I helped him get a few candy filled eggs.

When the festivities were over at the Dufau's we headed to my mom's house so that they could see Felipe.

By the time we got home Felipe was exhausted, so he ate his cereal and fell asleep immediately.

Hope you all had a great Easter!!!

First Trip to the Zoo

This morning since the weather was so nice and breezy, Adrian and I decided we would take a trip to Metro Zoo. After mass we came back home and prepared ourselves for a day at the zoo and bought the entrance tickets online.

I thought that Felipe would fall asleep in the car and not be able to see any of the animals but I was sooooo wrong. He did fall asleep in the car but as soon as we got to the zoo he woke up.

When we got the entrance we were so grateful that we had bought the tickets online because apparently, we were not the only ones that thought it would be a good day to go to the zoo. Once we got past the crowd that was waiting to purchase tickets we started our walk through the zoo. At first we had Felipe in the stroller but he was not able to see anything so Adrian, his mom and I took turns carrying him.

After walking about half the zoo, Felipe got hungry so I fed him in front of the porcupine exhibit and after that he fell asleep. He slept for about half an hour and then he was good for the rest of the walk through the zoo. He really enjoyed looking at all the animals and plants.

His first trip to the zoo was very exhausting for all of us but very worthwhile.

Cuchi... You will be missed

Cuchi
November 4, 1994 – March 6, 2008

Early this morning we lost an important member of our family… My aunt Jannette’s yorkie, Cuchi, passed away.

For those who knew Cuchi, you know that she was my aunt’s little baby. She was apparently very sick and the only person that knew this was my Aunt. A year ago, she was diagnosed with Liver cancer. She will be greatly missed by everyone especially my aunt Jannette.

Our only consolation is that she is now resting peacefully and we will always have all the happy memories that we shared with her.

My aunt has asked that if you would like to do something in memory of Cuchi, please make a small donation to the ASPCA.
