DIABETES FREEEEEE

I just got back from getting my 3-hour glucose test done and the results were satisfactory... I do not have gestational diabetes.

One of the results was high but the other 3 were within normal range so the doctor gave me the A-OK!!!

I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday so I will give you another update that day...

Glucose Test Results...

I just got back from the doctor's office and everything is going great with the baby. My Fundal measurement is 28" which is perfect because I am 29 weeks. The measurements should be give or take 2 inches from the amount of weeks you are pregnant.

I have gained a total of 17 lbs up-to-date but the bad news is that my glucose test results were UNSATISFACTORY!!! They referred me to a specialist because since diabetes runs in my family they want to rule that out before they send me to do the 3 hour glucose test. I have my fingers crossed that it was just something I ate yesterday.

I will keep everyone posted on the results...

Happy Mother's Day

Although I am not a mother yet I do have a bun in the oven and boy it is growing....

I celebrated my first mother's day with my mother, grandmother and mother-in-law by having a brunch at my house, but enough of that... This post is just to update everyone on how I am doing... I am now 29 weeks and 1 day. As you can see from the picture, I am growing exponentially. This little boy is kicking away. It just gives me great joy to feel his kicking eventhough it does get annoying when I am trying to sleep and he starts to kick at 4 in the morning.

Hope all the mothers, mothers-to-be and grandmothers had a great day surrounded by family.

I say good-bye for now but I will post another update on Thursday when I get back from my doctor's appointment. I will be getting the glucose test done that day so I will probably be cranky most of the morning because I can't eat anything until after the blood test.

CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA!!!!

Today marks the day that my good friend Amanda sees the fruits of all her struggles.... She is graduating from the University of Miami.

I can only imagine how difficult is has been for you to make it this far with two kids and a full time job.

CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done!!!

I wish I could be at the Convocation Center to see you walk across the stage to receive your hard earned diploma.
